We're guided by these core principles- Religion and politics are intimately linked in the Middle East, so a religious track is essential to a balanced peace process - Any peace talks need to be jointly owned by each of the major faith groups within the region - To be fully effective, the religious peace process should engage both the senior leadership and the grassroots of a community - Conflict causes destruction and poverty, which can breed resentment and create further division. As well as treating victims of violent conflict, our humanitarian relief work helps to establish the conditions necessary for lasting reconciliation.
