Mosaic - Supporting Bereaved Children

Mosaic is a Dorset based charity supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a loved one. Founded in June 2007 and created to fill the gap in bereavement provision for children and young people across Dorset, Mosaic provide counselling for children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant loved one. Support is offered after any cause of death including suicide, murder, terminal illness and sudden or traumatic death. Mosaic also offer pre-bereavement support to families facing the death of a loved one after a terminal diagnosis. Children who have been through the Mosaic counselling process, also have the opportunity to attend a residential weekend and regular family activity days. These events offer the children and young people that Mosaic work with the opportunity to meet others who have been through a similar experience. In addition to the counselling support and activity days, Mosaic offer training and advice on child bereavement support for professionals working with children and young people.
