Mosul Heritage Library

The Mosul Heritage Library (MHL) is a not-for-profit research center located in the heart of Old Mosul, dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and study of the city’s intellectual, scientific, and literary heritage. The center maintains a rich collection of multilingual resources—including books, journals, newspapers, maps, and archival documents—with a focus on Mosul and the surrounding region. Our initiatives include supporting scholarly research, hosting public lectures and workshops, and fostering collaboration with institutions locally and internationally. Our library premises in old Mosul features a main hall for its core book collections, a quiet reading room for researchers, and a digitization lab dedicated to preserving rare and historical materials- Affiliate of Nab’ al-’Ata’ Foundation for Cultural Development (Iraqi NGO Cert.
