Mothergold came into being in 2007 as a result of a gap identified in the limited provision of contextual support to a number of technical assistance programs funded by International Development Agencies in Nigeria. These gaps were in the areas of decision support & management information, social mobilization & citizens engagement, stakeholder analysis and reform communications, for ensuring aid effectiveness and socio-economic development in Nigeria.
