Mount Maunganui Engineering was originally formed in 1987 with a staff of 2. We have now grown to have a staff of around 30 employees. In 2004 the business was acquired by Rick Leach. In 2015 they were approached to buy a local machining business. This was formed as Tauranga Engineering. From 2020 both businesses have combined to be run under Mount Maunganui Engineering. This brings a wide range of services that can be offered. These include fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Specialists in piping, tanks, structural and all general fabrication. Machining capabilities include manual lathes, manual mills, CNC mill and CNC lathe. We also carry out a large range of maintenance services to local plants. We have staff qualified to over 20 different welding procedures.
