The Mount Veterinary Hospital is an independent RCVS accredited small animal veterinary hospital based in Wellington, Somerset. We have a talented, strong team of 15 small animal vets, 15 RVNs, 4 student RVNs, 5 ANAs, 12 receptionists and a dedicated office team of 4. Our large purpose-built hospital was completed in 2018 with 4 consulting rooms, a client care office, dispensary, glass meeting pod, vets office with 14 desks, spacious prep room, dental suite with 2 operating tables, x-ray room, ultrasound room, 2 operating suites, a dedicated dog ward, cat & small animal ward, isolation ward, modern kitchen/flat area, night nurse bedroom, modern bathroom facilities, patient exercise area, laundry room, board room and 2 further offices for management. We now have 8 consulting rooms and are currently building an extension to house another two and an additional dispensary. We are an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice on the Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (VetGDP) and an Approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice that offers clinical training and work experience for student veterinary nurses. Additionally, we offer an out of hours emergency service to other practices as well as our own clients, hold a Gold ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Award and hold Pet Blood Bank sessions every few months.
