Mountain Aerospace Research Solutions
Until now, every rocket ever launched has had to carry its own oxidizer to create enough thrust and reach escape velocity. About 90 percent of a rocket’s mass is tied up in oxidizer and fuel needed to escape Earth’s gravity. The Fenris engine takes oxygen from the air, compresses it and makes it available to use as oxidizer and free reaction mass. Fenris-powered rockets can carry bigger payloads. Launch cost becomes more affordable. The Fenris engine also: • Contains no moving parts. • Can be manufactured on a metal 3-D printer anywhere. • Significantly shortens time from build to launch. • Is 90% compatible with existing rocket technology, including in the vacuum of space with onboard oxidizer. • Is reusable. • Is patented.
