It all began with a family in 1972. Dot and Ralph Egli were the young couple on the mountain in Gatlinburg often delivering groceries, and newspapers on snow-filled days to their few neighbors. Many seasonal residents asked Dot and Ralph to keep their keys when they were out of town asking,"While we're gone could you rent our home?" Mountain Laurel Chalets grew rapidly following the Golden Rule and practicing southern hospitality to thousands of guest year after year. 51 years later, Mountain Laurel Chalets is still owned by the family, where they firmly believe that your family is our company. We've been around for a while and you can be assured of a great family experience when you stay with us.
