MOVE is an EMBRAPII unit that operates in the area of Machinery and Equipment for Mobility, focusing on: 1. Vehicles and equipment for moving cargo and people. Devices and equipment for energy conversion and propulsion. Manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems and materials. The MOVE team has vast experience in the industry, with several RD & I projects carried out in partnership with companies such as Renault, BMW, BioTech, Embraco, Embraer, Petrobras, VALE, WEG, among others. As a result of this experience, the team has 98 letters patents filed in different countries, 54 of which have been granted so far, most of them developed in association with the industry. It also has 44 Computer Programs registered with the INPI. The projects developed by MOVE involve expertise in dynamic and structural design; vehicular electromechanical automation; hardware and software for data acquisition and predictive control with artificial intelligence; thermal and fluid engineering in the development of components and devices for vehicular propulsion systems; hydraulic systems and pneumatics; materials and manufacturing processes. The structure of MOVE consists of the following laboratories: LAR - Laboratory of Applied Robotics Raul Guenther; LABCET - Combustion and Thermal Systems Engineering Lab; LABMAT - Materials Lab; LABMETRO - Metrology and Automation Lab; LABSOLDA - Mechatronics Institute – Teaching, Research and Development in Welding Technology; LABTUCAL/LEPTEN - Heat Tubes Lab/ Energy Technology and Conversion Processes Engineering Lab; LCM - Microstructural Characterization Lab; LMP - Precision Mechanics Lab; LASHIP - Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Lab; NEDIP - Integrated Product Development Center; LISHA - Software and Hardware Integration Lab; LAPIX - Image Processing and Computing Lab; GQS - Software Quality Group.
