Move Wild Academy

Move Wild Academy is the evolution of The Merisoiu Technique Institute of Health & Human Movement and Urban Women Fitness. They were all founded by Alexandra Merisoiu. Urban Women Fitness started at the beginning of 2014, MTI 1 year later and Move Wild Academy was born in 2018 and is here to stay. When Alexandra began her journey as a gym Personal Trainer it didn’t take long to realise that PT was not the way to go, at least not the general understanding of PT. Coming from a solid Martial Arts background, going back to 1995 and today competing for England and running her own Karate club, Alexandra had a different style of coaching and training in mind. Training is not about fitness, it’s about training and practice. Fitness comes as a result of dedication to your art, which in this case is Move Wild. Alexandra came up with The Merisoiu Technique because her clients wanted to get fit, strong and powerful. However they also needed to understand how their bodies function, how to move soft, fluid as well as strong and confident, and how to prevent certain injuries. It became clear that our clients needed to have access to a complete system which would offer them the foundations they needed to live a healthy, strong and fit life. Once we understand the basics of movement, posture, breathing, nutrition and mindful control then we actually become in control of our bodies and our own lives. Move Wild consists of movement patterns which strengthen, mobilise and create fluidity in movement. The system builds strength, stamina, mobility and flexibility, improves posture and balance and brings out the best in our clients and coaches. Move Wild Academy strives to educate their clients and coaches on the fundamentals of human movement and body mechanics. Move Wild Academy brings precision and sharpness into your training routine, making it more effective and enabling you to reach your goals with less risk of injury and more strength, power and confidence in your abilities.
