Michael Phillip Costanzo of MPC Recordings has been behind the mixing board since 1986. Entering into the NYC professional music industry through internships at various NYC midtown recording studios, Michael was exposed to all the state of the art recording techniques of the time. In the 1980’s, the industry was just beginning its transformation from the analog platform to digital recording and computers. Being trained in all the facets of high end analog recording, Michael (and all the other engineers of the time) had to learn the new “digital way" while still using the standard analog formats. At one point merging or “syncing” both the “big analog audio machines” and the new digital formats became complex, common practice and you needed to know both if you wanted to get work. This experience from the 1980's, thru the 90's and into the 21rst century, has served Michael well and is greatly embedded into his approach to mixing and mastering with his clientele base of today.
