The Department of Mathematics was established in 1959 and has always shared the vision of the institute in striving for excellence in teaching and research activities. Over the years, the department has evolved as one that provides excellent teaching and research in Applied Mathematical Sciences. The alumni of the institute hold responsible and enviable positions all over the world and are in constant touch with the institute. Every new entrant into the portals of this institution is poised for partaking a rich heritage and tradition that is unique to NITW. The Institute's Centre for Career Planning and Development (CCPD) provides a launch pad for students to make it to the best organizations in the fields of software, core industries, management, etc. The biggest names in the corporate world visit the campus on a regular basis, with enviable recruitment offers. The CCPD assists the departments in placement of students at major industries. About 150 - 180 companies visit the campus every year. From the past 5 years we are having placements records more than 80%. Our department provides placements services in different fields like EdTech,IT sector, aerospace industry etc.
