msquare GmbH was founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the German AerospaceCentre (DLR). Since then, msquare has been dedicated to the development and production of innovative, flexible and customized heating technologies. Smart heating solutions revolutionize the production and repair of fibrecomposite structures and promote the sustainable and flexible use of resources. These heating processes are used in the wind energy, aerospace and general composite industries in particular, with different technologies being used depending on the range of applications. The msquare product range includes a wide spectrum of heating solutions, including resistance heating blankets, induction heating blankets, smart heating controllers, multi-zone warm air fans, intelligent warm air fans and the innovative easyHeat operating software. In addition, the innovative easyHeat software with multi-ramp function ensures user-friendly operation, which is suitable for both beginners and demanding applications. A seamless documentation provides comprehensive quality control and increases the reliability of the processes. In 2022, msquare introduced inductive tool heating for the first time. This tool heating technology uses extremely flexible induction pads and achieves temperature deviations of just ±2°C at a maximum process temperature of 180°C. The flexible FlexIn Heat® induction technology ensures homogeneous temperature distribution over a defined area and enables high heating rates through targeted power output. FlexIn Heat® is ideal for a wide range of induction heating applications and impresses with high transferable energies and fast heating rates. Digitalization also plays a key role at msquare and is deeply integrated into the value chain. From circuit board design and the development of heating controllers to the power supply of large tools and the control cabinets required for them, everything is carried out in-house.
