HISTORY Mt. Carmel Sand and Gravel was founded in 1918 along the Wabash River near Mt. Carmel, IL. In 1949 we began doing Full Depth Reclamation on county roads, primarily in Southern Illinois. In the early 1970’s the company began expanding into lime and cement stabilization on various project types from coast to coast. By the mid 1990’s, soil stabilization became the mainstay of the company. EXPERIENCE Today at Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group, Soil Stabilization is All We Do. Operating over 20 crews across the country and with more than 300 pieces of specialized equipment, we pride ourselves with the experience and knowledge that it takes to tackle any project large or small. Our group of highly trained Operators, Teamsters, Mechanics and Project Managers have unparalleled experience in a wide array of project types and conditions. We are constantly designing, improving and building better equipment to meet our customer’s needs. Materials play a vital role in our processes, both in quality and production. We routinely schedule and deliver over tons per day to projects across the country just in time.
