MUGENUNI is a land based aquaculture venture that produces high quality Shirahige sea urchins for the export and Australian domestic market. Our urchins are grown in a 100% land based aquaculture operation with no wild-catch component. We spawn our own urchin larvae and grow these to mature product using proprietary technology. By farming on land, we can artificially control the spawning events and growing environment to supply urchin with plump and tasty roe 52 weeks of the year, avoiding all the sustainability, seasonal quality and supply issues associated with wild-catch urchin.
