Originally founded in 2017, just before Patrick Mulhearn decided to take a second tour of duty working for the State of Louisiana to help the local film industry become more self-sustainable and permanent, Mulhearn & Associates is an entertainment industry consulting firm. Its mission is to connect content creators to capital and to make Baton Rouge the nation's capital for independent filmmaking. A 23-year veteran of Louisiana's film and television industry, Mulhearn ended his state service in April of 2023 and now offers his unique understanding of content creation through tax mitigation (and tax mitigation through content creation), developing creative ecosystems, and turning great stories into motion pictures. His passion for diversifying Louisiana's economy, reversing the state's brain drain, and growing the local crew base has made him one of the regions top advocates and informational resources for career-connected learning in the entertainment industry. A 2015 inductee into the LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction and a diehard Tiger fan, Mulhearn offers assistance to student athletes from all state colleges and universities looking for opportunities to work in motion pictures filming in Louisiana thanks to the new rules for NIL.
