This has left the bulk of gold mining activities in the hands of Artisanal and small scale miners (ASM). ASM have done so well and the latest recognition by the law (Mining Act 2016 - Kenya) is a testimony that they are a contributor to the economy and can only be expanded. With a team who have been involved in small and large scale mining, MGS has a role in the Mining Sector information gathering and sharing, towards realizing the potential of the emerging mining areas in Kenya The ASM sector will particularly benefit more through MGS activities.
