Empowering Africa’s Youth Through Music, Education, and Opportunity Music Crossroads International (MCI) is a nonprofit transforming lives across Southern Africa by using the power of music to build sustainable futures. Since 1995, we have equipped over young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to overcome challenges and become leaders in their communities. Through our Music Crossroads Academies in Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, we provide affordable, accessible training in music performance, production, and entrepreneurship—empowering youth to create livelihoods, support their families, and contribute to social change. Our Impact - Changing Lives: Alumni have gone on to secure careers in music and beyond, many returning as educators to multiply the impact- Scholarships Unlock Potential: Nearly 150 students have received Focusrite Scholarships, achieving 40% female participation and breaking barriers to education- Global Recognition: Winner of the 2023 UNESCO-Bangladesh Prize for the Creative Economy, acknowledging our role in youth entrepreneurship- Creative Training Campus: Highlighted as a European Commission success story, training 160 participants and reaching people with life-changing skills.
