Musique Nomade

Musique Nomade (MN) is a non-profit organization that produces and promotes Indigenous artists and their traditional and contemporary music. MN supports up-and-coming musicians, advocates a fair Indigenous cultural representation within the music industry, and contributes to the survival of Indigenous languages and traditional music through digital media. MN’s team travels across the land, often in remote areas, to work with Indigenous singer-songwriters and musicians. Our creation workshops involve free music and video recording sessions and offer a professional guidance to artists who wish to develop their own projects. MN is a steppingstone to the music industry, and several artists have launched their career though a collaboration with our organization. MN also produces and collaborates to concerts and events featuring artists from its network and supports Indigenous cultural representation. MN produces every year several artistic collaborations that are presented on-stage during the NIKAMOTAN MTL concert. MN's flagship event NIKAMOTAN MTL is held every summer during the Montreal First Peoples’ Festival. This annual concert showcases traditional and indie Indigenous rising stars. It features a unique encounter of several musical genres and gathers artists from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds. NIKAMOWIN is a music streaming platform developed by MN to bring together Indigenous artists’ music and profiles. This unique web platform seeks to show the creativity of Indigenous music and cultures, to enhance their discovery, and to facilitate the public’s access to a great musical diversity. Artists can promote their projects on NIKAMOWIN, a web platform open to every musical genre and Indigenous artists from across the land.
