Muziekroute

The Music Route offers music lessons to all students at all primary schools in the Overvecht district of Utrecht. We also teach at several schools in Rivierenwijk and Dichterswijk. We do this with a unique approach:'Creative Music Making' focuses on experiencing the joy of making music together, fostering student ownership, and developing creative skills. The Music Route challenges children to tell their own musical story and to make themselves heard and seen. The children experience safety, freedom, joy, and the thrill of making music together. They feel connected, proud, seen, and heard. They learn that attention, concentration, and perseverance are important for mastering something. They also learn how good it feels to truly work together to achieve a result. Motivated students can take music lessons on their instruments after school and further develop their skills. During the school holidays, students can play together in the Music Route Holiday Week, led by professional musicians. Twice a year, the children showcase their talents in a concert. The Music Route works together with ZIMIHC Stefanus and the Brede School Utrecht. Gemotiveerde leerlingen kunnen na schooltijd muziekles volgen op hun instrument en hun kwaliteiten verder ontwikkelen. Tijdens de schoolvakanties kunnen leerlingen samenspelen in de MuziekRoute Vakantieweek onder leiding van professionele musici. Twee keer per jaar laten de kinderen hun talenten zien tijdens een concert. De MuziekRoute werkt samen met ZIMIHC Stefanus en met de Brede School Utrecht.
