My Hema Circle

My Hema Circle is a platform where patients of thalassemia (a hereditary blood disease, a form of anaemia) who needs regular blood transfusions, can join and be matched with willing regular blood donors who are also conveniently located in the geographic area where the patient resides. Regular blood transfusion for thalassemia patients is essential but can be very challenging. Aside from the cost, a major obstacle to achieving a regular blood transfusion is the lack of ready donors. This presents a heavy burden to thalassemia patients because a delay in the transfusion may result in other health issues and even death.
