Sustainable couture lovingly designed and ethically manufactured at the HotSpur House in Manchester (U.K.) using "green" luxury fabrics. Each piece is perfectly tailored and hand-crafted to a very high standard. Silvia got to be a finalist to the 2009 “Best Of” Manchester Fashion Awards, and two of the companies she has worked for have won that same prize with her on board: Rags to Bitches (2008 and 2009) and The Junk Shop (2011). Her latest collection of womenswear "The Muse and the Dragon" is out now. Silvia's studio at the HotSpur House is equipped with the industrial infrastructure necessary to develop and manufacture whole collections, from initial sketch through to the final product. The design process from sketching to illustration, pattern cutting, toiling and sampling are carried out in one same location, bringing together local independent fashion industry professionals from different backgrounds. Co-organizer of "slow fashion " show MEASURED, showcasing local independent designers and makers, Silvia promotes sustainable design in Manchester and beyond.
