Jeypore is a small ancient town surrounded by dense green forests with a niche in the history of Odisha. This town was once the largest kingdom of Utkala since its formation in the year 1936.The capital consisted of four districts namely Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur & Malkangiri.This place is well known for its ancient fort(which collapsed in 2012), scenic palaces and old temples. Majority of people here speak Odia, though Odia predominantly spoken in Jeypore, there is a diverse cultural mix with people speaking Telugu and Hindi as well, which gives the spoken language a unique accent. Being situated at the middle of the south-west horn of Odisha, is an amalgamation of the culture and traditions of the East and the South India.
