N2-01 has already been used in farm and companion animals and is proven to reduce mortality in multiple conditions associated with endothelial dysfunction, including Porcine circovirus type 2. In studies to date, N2-01 has been shown to significantly reduce endothelial dysfunction and vascular leakage in human endothelial cells. Based in Edinburgh, N2 Pharmaceuticals intend to repurpose N2-01 from animal health applications to treat a number of acute human diseases associated with endothelial dysfunction.
