Nahuda

NAHUDA is a Nepal-based, non-profit NGO that has been operating since 1994. It was the first of its kind to initiate cervical cancer screening, breast examinations, and reproductive health prevention programmes in Nepal. The NAHUDA Clinic focuses on raising awareness, preventing, and treating reproductive health issues in Nepal. Many Nepalese women face cervical cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine prolapse, fistula (urine dripping), and other reproductive health issues. Over the past 22 years, around Nepali women have received cervical and breast cancer screening services. In addition, more than half a million women have benefited from our awareness programme. This particular service is delivered by the NAHUDA clinic staff, with the assistance of gynaecologists, health workers, and volunteers. Furthermore, we provide reproductive health services to women from rural Nepal. However, due to a lack of awareness and inadequate resources and services, many women across the country continue to suffer. Recognising the severity of the problem, NAHUDA is actively involved in policy advocacy to address this issue.
