Nana Projects

NANA PROJECTS is a Baltimore based company of visual alchemists creating parades and puppet shows. The company blends sculpture, puppetry, performance art and public spectacle.A recipient of the 2010 UNIMA-USA Citation of Excellence in puppetry. Nana Project’s Performances are a unique blend of shadow puppetry and turn of the century slide shows— that create a breathtaking manual animation. The company has toured extensively through out the US including San Antonio’s Luminiaria Festival, New Orleans Fringe Festival, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Puppeteers of America National Festival, Arlington’s Artisphere and Orlando’s International Puppetry Festival. Nana Projects signature sense of wonder transforms the public space into a festive street party with cascading Ribbon Trees, Towering Umbrellas, costumed stilt walkers and a costumed band. Nana Projects is a non- profit company of lanterneers and visual alchemists inventing innovative artwork that draws people together in public spaces.
