Nanosensores

Nanosensores is a technology-based startup founded at the University of Brasília, with the aim of transforming the technology developed at the University into products to solve Brazilian problems. The company's journey began in 2017, with the founder Ítalo's doctorate. Understanding the potential of the research carried out by Professor Leonardo Paterno at the Institute of Chemistry, Ítalo focused his thesis on the development of a product that combined nanotechnology with a real Brazilian problem. Thus, the first prototype of Nanosensors was created, an electronic tongue for monitoring the herbicide Glyphosate. Concurrent with the development of the thesis, Nanosensors as a company per se, was emerging. Initially, we were part of the first class of the Cocreation Lab DF, where we managed to align the technology developed at UnB with the value proposition of Nanosensors, obtaining the award for best pitch. In a second moment, we were part of the Inova Amazônia company acceleration project of Sebrae, in Tocantins. At Inova, we managed to define our mission to bring products that monitor environmental aspects, obtain resources for the development of our prototype, formalize the company and start activities. Now, Nanosensors produces and markets the most modern nanomaterials. Our nanomaterials combine the expertise of more than 10 years in nanomaterial synthesis of the founder, the supervision of several university professors, the mentorships of several entrepreneurs and the quality assured by numerous characterization techniques. In addition, we continue to develop unique sensors for the most diverse types of problems, such as monitoring beverages, pharmaceuticals, herbicides and sanitation.
