National Internship Program

Founded in 1981, by the late Dr. Linda Bayer, as the Washington Internship Program, NIP’s purpose is to serve as a premier educational and career-coaching organization for individuals seeking premium, meaningful internships to enhance themselves and improve their job market value. In the 29 years since opening its doors, NIP has grown into one of the most respected and consistent internship programs in Washington, D.C, with thousands of students from across the United States and over 100 countries having participated in our program. The goal was and continues to be preparing students for the real-world by equipping them with a myriad of tools that will assist them regardless of whether they decide to continue their academic pursuits or enter the job market. As our original base, Washington, D.C. remains one of our major markets. However, we have expanded our program and its time-tested methods into cities throughout the country.
