The National Optometric Association (NOA) was founded in 1969 in Richmond, Virginia, with a mission to advance the visual health of under-supported populations. Since then, the NOA has worked closely with leaders in public health, education, optometry, and ophthalmology to expand access to quality eye care. Throughout our history, we have been committed to increasing representation and opportunity for underrepresented groups within the field of optometry.
