Die Stiftung wurde 2007 von Prof. Dr. Michael Popp, Inhaber und Vorstandsvorsitzender der Bionorica SE, gegründet. Angesichts der deprimierenden Eindrücke und bedrückenden Erlebnissen, die er bei seinen vielen Geschäftsreisen durch Osteuropa gesammelt hat, war für ihn klar: Ich kann nicht wegschauen, ich muss helfen! Die Stiftungsidee war geboren! Über 30 Projekte in 8 Ländern sorgen seither dafür, dass die Lebens- und Lernsituation verbessert wird und Kinder mit Freude in eine bessere Zukunft blicken können.
