NBL is a family of engineering companies with one UK-based and three Russia-based companies. NBL has about 100 employees including geologists, mining, processing, mine-site infrastructure engineers, mineral economists and mineral commodities market analysts all with over 15 years of uninterrupted experience in performing engineering studies of local and international format. NBL provides a broad range of engineering, geotechnical, geological and corporate consulting services to the mining companies and financial institutions worldwide, focusing on the territory of the FSU countries. The scope of work includes mineral consultancy for ore resources and reserves modeling, estimation and evaluation, full-scale engineering studies, detailed engineering, due diligence, companies’ and projects’ evaluation. Extensive records of mining costs, performances and productivities are maintained as a basis for engineering, benchmarking, due diligence and feasibility studies. NBL specialises particularly in local format resource modeling and cut-off estimation (so-called TEO condicii) for local approval and permitting processes, which is recognised as NBL’s strong competitive advantage vis-à-vis foreign mining consultants. Since inception, NBL has been mostly focused on the exploration and mining projects involving precious metals, gems and diamonds. However, its sphere of expertise and business activities has broadened to include other commodities, such as copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc, lead, titanium, iron, chromites, tungsten, molybdenum and number of other metals and industrial minerals, coal and peat including. NBL has performed works and provided consulting services for major mining companies and financial institutions in Europe, Australia, Northern America, Africa, Asia as well as in Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union.
