NBP Engineers was founded in Macon, Georgia by George M. Nottingham, Jr, a member of the Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Hall of Fame. Since the beginning, NBP has provided mechanical and electrical expertise to both the public and private sectors, earning Engineering Excellence National Finalist Awards and Excellence in Energy Conservation Conscious Design Awards. As a mid-size firm, NBP prides itself in its ability to handle the demands of large projects while being able to focus on the smallest details while never losing sight of the human factor needed to produce quality designs. One of our constant goals on each project is to provide a high level of communication to keep the client apprised of progress and involve them in major project decisions. NBP provides consultation and options for overcoming obstacles to help our clients make the best decisions. For more than 55 years, NBP has successfully completed new construction with state-of-the-art technology as well as renovations, building assessments and system evaluations and upgrades. Over the last seven years, as owner’s faced tightening budgets, 90% of our projects have been renovations or additions to existing facilities. With a focus on phasing all work, NBP minimizes or completely avoids downtime to allow facilities to remain operational throughout the project. The quality of work performed by NBP is reflected by the fact that we have maintained working relationships of a decade or more with 60% of our clients, including, more than 45 years with The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and Mercer University, more than 35 years with The Medical Center of Central Georgia and more than 30 years with The Technical College System of Georgia and Emory University.
