Nd American Legion

Approximately members across 215 posts comprise the North Dakota American Legion. All of our members served on active duty at least one day. Our extended family includes the North Dakota American Legion Auxiliary, North Dakota Sons of the American Legion and the North Dakota Legion Riders. Since 1919, we’ve been fostering Americanism, supporting Children and Youth, advocating for National Security and remaining focused on Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation — the four pillars that uphold our organization. We continue to sponsor Boys State, American Legion Baseball, High School Oratorical Contests and other scholarship programs. We also support legislation and volunteer efforts for the well-being of current and former service members. We encourage new members to continue the tradition of service that our forefathers fought for when establishing the American Legion in 1919.
