Near Time Reporting's mission is to improve productivity and efficiency in the construction industry through better information transfer between office and site, with near time reporting on actual task production, resource utilisation, cost spend and value earned. The aim is to allow the site management team to identify problem tasks, or under utilised resources. For them to be identified in a timely manner to allow meaningful change to be implemented whilst it can still make a difference to the task outcome. Combining work breakdown structures, lookahead programmes, allocation sheets, resource books, KPI's, and other site information and records Near Time Reporting brings these, often disparate sources of information, into a single online platform. This improves the flow of information and reduce the administration required to collate the information and analyse task and resource performance. The system allows tasks to be planned, resources allocated, outputs determined, planned cost and value to be determined. Tasks are passed electronically to the operations team delivering the works using mobile applications, showing planned tasks for the day, planned resources and planned output. The actual resources used on tasks are recorded by the operations teams, actual cost is determined, and then be compared to the plan. With KPI's being recorded in the system, the actual value earned on the task can be calculated and the system then shows in a live/as-built programme the performance on the task each day. Dashboards display costs and value generated is delivery areas, identifying task cost and value, unallocated resources and related costs, allowing the management team to identify resources that are typically not picked up on site records or that are being under utilised. The system is scalable, suitable for regional contractors delivering their own projects to multi-national companies with a large portfolio of projects across their business units
