North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(NEDFi) was incorporated as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956, on August 9, 1995 with an authorized share capital of Rs. 100 crores with its registered head office as Guwahati, Assam. NEDFi is promoted by All India Financial Institutions - IDBI, SBI, ICICI Ltd, IFCI, SIDBI, LICI, SUUTI, GIC and its subsidiaries. It was notified as a Public Financial Institution in July 1996 under sec 4-A of the Companies Act 1956. NEDFi is also categorized as NBFC-Loan Company and was registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a non-deposit taking NBFC. The organization is headquartered in Guwahati and spread across all the North Eastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura with a network of 15 Branch Offices and 5 Representative Offices.
