NEEV IS THE OFFICIAL CIVIL ENGINEERING SOCIETY OF INSTITUTE, ESTABLISHED ON 11th MARCH 2014. NEEV IS FORMED AND GOVERNED BY THE STUDENTS OF ADGITM ITSELF UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE FACULTIES OF CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. NEEV, a Hindi word meaning FOUNDATION, portraying civil engineers as the foundation of the society aims at expanding the sphere of learning beyond books and classrooms. It lays emphasis over the requirements of field and the changing trends in construction. NEEV also encourages the interaction of students to share their education and experiences within the Engineering field and provide a valuable communication means between students and professionals in the field. Engineering is the application of scientific as well as practical knowledge. One can attain scientific knowledge through books, lectures and other sources, but practical knowledge requires expansion of the periphery of learning. At NEEV, we believe that besides the basics and engineering sciences, one must focus on practical understanding of concepts, to encourage learning and promote a sense of professionalism.
