Gerry Owens, founder of Negotiators, is a Qualified Personal Insolvency Practitioner, with over 37 years’ experience in providing Financial Services. Gerry has successfully completed the Personal Insolvency Practitioner course and received an excellent result in the exam that followed. With his experience, product knowledge and understanding of the Personal Insolvency Act 2012, Gerry has founded Negotiators to become the first choice provider of Personal Insolvency advice and will advise and assist clients who need help in their dealings with their creditors. Prior to making a decision about which route to take under the Act, Negotiators brings clients through a comprehensive review of their financial position and future expectations. Negotiators will help clients to identify their options and the consequences of taking one option over another will be explained clearly with expert advice and recommendations given. Negotiators will help clients deal with creditor banks in particular with regard to the Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process (MARP) and will outline clients’ obligation under that process. In the event that a reasonable settlement cannot be reached under MARP, clients are advised on the best option for them and their families under the 2012 Act.
