Neighborhood Bakery was founded in 1973 in Brooklyn, NY by Benjamin and Beatrice Sabir. Neighborhood began as a retail bake shop, however the high demand for the nationally famous Bean Pie steered the company in the direction of wholesale. Purchasing natural raw ingredients, Neighborhood Bakery uses these ingredients to manufacture handcrafted, assorted baked goods. Their products, made from scratch with naturally wholesome handpicked ingredients consist of Bean Pies, Sweet Potato Pies, Carrot Cakes, Banana Cakes, Coconut Raisin Cakes, Butternut Squash Pies, Carrot Pies, and Pecan Pies. Servicing accounts throughout the Greater New York area, Neighborhood Bakery products can be found in ShopRite, Stop & Shop, America's Food Basket, Foodtown, KeyFood and a number of various gourmet/deli stores.
