Nepal Magazine

Nepal is a weekly Nepali-language Magazine, published by Kantipur Media Group (KMG). Every Sunday on News-stands, Nepal has the largest circle of readers of any Nepali News Magazine. Founded in and published in the capital city, the magazine has a particular emphasis on National Politics. However, its public image has equally been shaped for socio-economic coverage. It provides in-depth analysis, news and opinion about National Political issues, Economy, Culture, Entertainment, Sports, among others. Sudheer Sharma has been the Editor-in-Chief since Feb 2018 A.D- History Nepal was started in A.D. with a motive of giving emphasis to long-form and analysis journalism. The best of its impact was seen during the Maoist insurgency. It has made several covers and influential reporting- ranging from their secret war strategies to the internal dispute among rebel leaders. The magazine's issues have been observed to have maneuvered the state restructuring debate- several times making impacts on the National Policy formulation, decisions of political parties and influencing the National agendas. Unlike the scope or well-researched stories, it regularly features photo story, movie reviews/celebrity gossips. Literature has always been in the priority with space for book reviews, essays, stories, poems, among others. Nepal features 'Top 10 plus two colleges of Nepal', a most awaited issue of the year. Dashain-Tihar issue with additional pages is also a popular treat.
