NeuroConnect provides mobile, outsourced intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services (IONM, or intraoperative neuromonitoring) to hospitals, clinics, and surgery centers in the greater Houston area. Nerves and neural structures can be compromised during spinal, nerve, orthopedic, brain-related, and other surgeries. The use of intraoperative neuromonitoring technology provides real-time information about a patient’s nervous system and can alert the surgeon to potential negative outcomes as they arise, so that problems can be corrected before they become irreversible. Intraoperative neuromonitoring provides critical information to the surgeon and surgical support staff during major and routine procedures, and enables them to make better decisions at critical points during surgery. The inclusion of IONM ultimately leads to better medical practices and much better surgical outcomes.
