Launched in 2014, Neutral Ground News (NGN) is an online satirical publication based in New Orleans. It is one of the top 39 publications in Louisiana and goes by the double entendre "In the middle of it all" as its motto. Inspired by the legendary newspaper The New Orleans Levee, NGN continues in its spirit and focuses on the people, places, and things in the city of New Orleans and its surrounding areas… when the meds let us. The publication features satirical articles reporting on local news in business, entertainment, general news, politics, science/technology, and sports. The website's humor-centric content focuses on current events, both real and fictional, and aims to parody traditional news organizations. NGN is staffed by individuals who may or may not have been dropped on their heads as babies or inadvertently inhale dangerous fumes in their spare time. Either way, our writers possess a unique outlook on the world — often one that does not align with reality and which some readers may find amusing-ish. Covering news that's unbelievably New Orleans, NGN is heavily-biased and agenda-based and targets its content to an immature audience.
