New Ground is an Auckland-based investment manager specialising in the development and management of investments that generate commercial financial returns alongside social and environmental impact. Since 2014, we’ve been pioneering the development of Build-to-Rent housing investments for institutional investors in NZ, at the same time bringing about meaningful improvements for renting households by providing modern, healthy and professionally managed homes with security of tenure. Today, we’re involved in a wide range of rental housing and affordable housing projects right across New Zealand, spanning roles as investment manager, developer and development manager, as well as property manager through New Ground Living. We’ve also pioneered the development of professionally managed impact investment funds in NZ, co-founding the country’s first committed capital impact venture capital fund in 2017, establishing the innovative Homes For Tamariki fund in 2022, and being appointed to co-manage the Bay of Plenty Housing Equity Fund in 2023.
