New Ho Wah
After running the Asian food court at Stony Brook University for nearly eight years, it only seemed natural to Arun “aka Andy” to sprinkle some of the ethnic varieties into his menu at Homemade Falafel restaurant. The small narrow Homemade Falafel shop on the corner of Broadway and 36th Street in Astoria has cuisines of four different cultures: Lebanese, Middle Eastern, Nepalese and Indian. The menu reflects his secret recipes from the University and his previous experience at hotels, as well as home made recipes of his wife. Arun has been in food business for 22 years. Cooking is his passionate and his focus is on quality and fresh ingredients. He says “you got to put some love while cooking”.
