I am also an advanced degree addictions specialist (CAADC), and registered dietitian (RD). I work with adults 18 and older, typically people whose lives have been in some way upended by addiction including substances like alcohol or a behavior like spending, on-line pornography, and eating. I also help individuals and families who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, or grieving a loss. My 35 years of training as a healthcare practitioner and licensed clinical social worker has uniquely equipped me to address you as a whole person living in a complex environment. Your world view, how you identify as a person, and cultural influences are important! I use an integrated approach informed by my extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy (EMDR), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.
