Los Angeles faces an affordable housing crisis and together we can make a difference. California created ADU rules intended to accelerate development of affordable housing. Homeowners in communities of the greatest need rarely have the capital or risk tolerance to build and manage rental units. By rethinking how homeowners utilize their property, we can make a profound and positive change in communities by adding more housing, while giving owners an opportunity to increase their property value and earn additional income. Working to add housing using existing underutilized assets—empty or unused spaces in single-family homes—garages, extra rooms, basements, and backyards.
