Newpool Music was founded in 2011 by Chris Gilcher aka Cris Moreno and Marcell Meyer aka DJ Sweep. The founders were able to get experienced label manager Anusch Mehdizadeh enthusiastic about their concept. Anusch has been working for several giants like Virgin Records or EMI gathering an enormous amount of experience and insight. With both their commitment, dedication and profound experience the path has been laid to publish innovative, high quality compilations and other unique releases.Speaking of releases, Newpool Music is still being influenced by successful past projects. We lean towards music that has been extensively featured on compilations like Cafe Del Mar Volume 4, Volume 5 and lately released Finca AM. Levitation’s song More Than Ever People was certainly our most renowned release. Nevertheless we do not commit exclusively to Cafe Del Mar-esque productions. Acts like Jelly & Fish that happened on Virgin Records 1998 seriously shaped our developement towards a more energetic and dancefloor-filling style. Since then several house and breakbeat projects have been released. Even Kate Bush personally authorized a cover version of her world-wide hit single Running Up That Hill.Our philosophy and conviction is to create music with the effect to let people sense the vibe & emotion, special energy and glamouros spirit of our artists’ creations.
