Newtown Fire Rescue

The Newtown Fire Association is a volunteer fire protection organization that has served the community of Newtown since 1889. The NFA is made up of highly trained, skilled, and professional volunteers that come from all walks of life; drawn together by the desire to serve others. The volunteers of the NFA, along with the daytime career staff of the Newtown Emergency Services Department, are responsible for providing the community protection from fire, as well as responding to emergencies involving vehicle and technical rescue, emergency medical services, and hazardous materials.
