NexGen News brings news to young people, presented by young people and provides teachers and families educational resources to have students think critically about current events. Created by educators for educators, the NexGen News standards-based curriculum is accessible for both in-person and remote learning through our online platform. The curriculum is ready-made curriculum and includes the following: lesson plans for grades 3-5 and 6-8, leveled news articles, auto-graded quizzes, self-graded writing prompts, discussion questions, and student activities. The NexGen News At Home Learning Platform for parents provides families an opportunity to engage in the news all together. In addition to the child friendly newscast, the At Home Learning Platform provides discussion questions to prompt conversation between families about current events as well as student activities which allow children the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences based on the news stories that interest them most! By bringing news to the next generation, providing educators a ready-made, standards-based curriculum, and families an At Home Learning Platform for current events, NexGen News keeps the next generation informed so they can become contributing members of society.
