The science of complex systems explores how parts of a system create the collective behavior of the whole system and how the system interacts with its environment. The science of complex systems extends beyond the traditional disciplines of science, engineering, economics and medicine. It focuses on certain issues of parts and integers and their relationship, which are also important for conventional science.
