Nhs Redbridge

NHS Redbridge commissions and organises healthcare services for the residents of the London Borough of Redbridge. It is the statutory body set up to do this and is formally called Redbridge PCT (Primary Care Trust). We are responsible for improving the health and wellbeing of local people, and making sure people who live in Redbridge can get the health care they need. To do this we commission (buy) services for the community:* primary care (eg GPs, dentists, pharmacies, optometrists)* community based health care (eg health visitors, community nurses and therapists, walk-in centres)* hospital care * mental health services * other services (like ambulance services). We work closely with the local council and community and voluntary organisations.
